How We Research Our Guides
Every guide on Uzbekistan Wanderer follows the same editorial process:
- Official sources first. We cross-check visas, train schedules, entrance fees and opening hours against official sources — the e-visa portal (e-visa.gov.uz), Uzbekistan Railways (railway.uz), UNESCO listings, and government travel advisories.
- Dated fact-checks. Where prices or rules change often, we mark when the fact was last verified — e.g. “(last checked: July 2026)” — so you know how fresh the information is.
- No pretend experiences. We don’t invent first-person stories. When we haven’t verified something on the ground, we say so and point you to the official source.
- Licensed photography. Photos are properly licensed (mostly Creative Commons via Wikimedia Commons) and credited at the end of each article.
- Corrections. Spotted something out of date? Email us via the Contact page and we’ll verify and fix it.
