About Toofan

Toofan Singh is the founder and editor of Uzbekistan Wanderer. He started the site in July 2026 to put practical, up-to-date information about travelling in Uzbekistan in one place, and edits every guide against the site's research standards: official sources first, dated fact-checks, and no invented experiences.

Uzbekistan Wanderer is written for independent travellers planning their own route through Uzbekistan: people who want train times, ticket prices and honest trade-offs rather than brochure copy. Toofan decides what the site covers, checks each guide before it goes live, and handles corrections.

How we research

• Official sources first. Visas, train timetables, entrance fees and opening hours are checked against the operator or ministry that sets them.
• Every volatile fact is dated. Prices and rules carry a "last checked" note so you can see how fresh they are.
• No invented experiences. We don't write made-up first-person stories. Where something can't be confirmed, the guide says so and points to the official source.
• Licensed photos. Featured photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons or public-domain licences, and each one is credited at the end of its guide.
